I remember when the Texas Tornados billed themselves the Tex-Mex Revue back in ’89 @ a concert in San Francisco. They were considered the ultimate Tex-Mex supergroup, composed of Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers (Sahm's bandmate in the Sir Douglas Quintet), accordion virtuoso Flaco Jimenez, and Hispanic country star, Freddy Fender, who was most famous for his singing: “Wasted Days & Wasted Nights” and “Before the Next Teardrop Falls.”
