Today is Holocaust Rememberance Day.
Over the past several months students throughout California have interviewed Holocaust survivors, children of survivors and World War Two veteran liberators as part of the Echoes of Truth project. The resulting 13-minute video was presented on Monday, April 16, 2012 as part of the 9th annual holocaust remembrance ceremony held by the California State Assembly. The 2012 Echoes of Truth Holocaust Memorial Project video provides a compelling and deeply emotional look at the holocaust through the eyes of those with a unique connection to this chapter of history that must never be forgotten.

It's refreshing to know this group of California college students care enough about history to participate in an important project like this.
The video was well done. Stories like these aren't easy to hear but should be remembered by more than just people who physically survived it. That's my 2 cents anyway.
As J. Edgar Hoover said:
"When morals decline and good men do nothing, evil flourishes. A society unwilling to learn from the past is doomed. We must never forget our history."
